Yes, it was my last day in Hawaii and time to say Mahalo & Aloha. Initially my plan was to go for a hike but I was sulking the whole morning and somehow I was in the mood to just do nothing. I just wanted to relax on my last day hence I went to Ala Moana Beach park. Hawaii is a place where 99.9% of beaches are public. Even if owned by a resort you can still go to the beach and enjoy it as long as you want. One thing I observed in Hawaii was it is a perfect to get interestingly bored, only if you want to. I mean you can choose to do lot of things or you can choose do nothing. Being at the beach Ala Moana beach was soothing until I started getting sunburn and then I decided to go & eat.

I went to a hole-in-the-wall type cafe “Goofy”. It was a cheap and a perfect place to have a cup of coffee. I am lucky as I really like these hole-in-the-wall types of food joints and the island is full of them. For instance there is the “Steak Shake” in Waikiki with limited menu but wildly popular across tourists and locals mainly for two reasons 1) It is seriously cheap and 2) It has an awesome view. It’s a must try.

Hawaii has so much to offer and each island has its own particular charm and activities. I am pretty sure that I will be back to visit the Big Island as I am yet to do volcano hiking, black & green sand beaches et cetera. But that night I had 14 hours of transit to kill and as usual I was on a Red eye. Well until next trip cya.
